The MX322 is a three-phase automatic voltage regulator (AVR) and forms part of a carbonless alternator excitation system. Excitation power is obtained from a three-phase permanent magnet generator (PMG), to isolate the control circuits of the generator regulator board from the effects of non-linear loads and to reduce radio frequency interference at the alternator terminals. Stable alternator short-circuit current is an additional feature of the PMG system. This board is available in two types of Stamford made in England and made in China.
